I wanted to update you on Dusty progress. Everything is going wonderfully with him. I've acquired the new bit, and it's far superior to what I had been using before. Just the other day, I took him for a lope around the area, and we practiced some sharp turns. I even incorporated various halts into our routine - it was quite a workout! I'm genuinely thrilled with him. He's proving to be an incredible horse. Your training efforts with him have truly paid off, and I'm incredibly grateful for that.

I've become comfortable enough to start loping him around, and I'm eager to begin training in barrels. However, the persistent rain is posing a challenge. I'm hesitant to push forward with barrel racing in these slick conditions, as I'm concerned about the safety of both Dusty and myself. Despite the weather setbacks, Dusty is thriving. I'd be happy to share some pictures of his progress with you whenever you'd like; I just need to take some first. Between riding, spending time with him, and attending to his care, the rainy weather hasn't left much time for photography. Nevertheless, Dusty is flourishing. He's truly found happiness here, especially with his new best buddy, Jay.
